You’re sharing this lot
With the spoils of self indulgence
The sidewalk symposium of human refuse
When the stakes our this low, what’s left to lose
Theres no heart beat here In the insulin dependent
High fructose corn syrup trash can of life
Totalled Jaguar, crumpled Armani
You’re exactly where you don’t want to be
Garbage strewn island where no man lands
And I know these arterial highways like the back of my hands
But not this shit stain -
We’re in the liminal spaces
Places learned to un-see
Rubber necking tragedy
You’re a tragedy
Rebar riven rubble
Cracked masonry
This place has crept into
the marrow of me
I’m not being callous,
I’m spitting hard facts
This here’s a jungle
Hewn in tarmac
Care not for your bad luck story
We’re all victims of inequality
My coin always landed side up
Until it slipped through this crack
But not this shit stain -
We’re in the liminal spaces
Places learned to un-see
Rubber necking tragedy
You’re a tragedy
This fucking system, is a Ponzi scheme
You’ll bleed the whole world dry before you get to me
Burn high your signal fire!
They’ll ignore its glower
And all the world will
Avert its gaze
From the tragedy
River runneth over with petroleum
And veins tapped for libation
Hand tailored suits make good kindling
Stoke the flames of your own perdition
Thirty years of grifting its all a matter of timing
90 miles per hour up the reservation

Wow. I did not expect violin and cello from a crust band.

One of many releases I missed last year, and boy is this hitting hard now that I found it. Very similar to Morrow, which I love, but much quicker in getting the point across without losing any of the impact. Really great stuff. Dementicus
